This competition came in as a specific project to be sustainable and energy conscious. In line with the 3 tiers of sustainability, the form, planning, and detail of fenestration were given the primary consideration with due inputs of passive design principles. Each façade reveals a detail that is side-specific and solar radiation is minimized to a great extent by applying the climate-responsive design principles. Solar and rainwater harvesting relaxed the energy demand of this building and principles like night flushing reduced the mechanical loads on air conditioning.
